Kästle Paragon 101 (Model 26/27)
The Kästle Paragon 101 is built for skiers who want a serious freeride ski that still behaves properly on the piste. With a 101 mm waist, Double Rocker and a progressive rise profile, it has the width and shape for off-piste skiing while retaining enough edge grip and precision for fast groomer laps.
The INFINI CORE FREE construction combines poplar, beech and paulownia wood with double Titanal reinforcement. The result is a stiff, powerful platform with excellent torsional stability and direct power transfer. This is a ski that appreciates an active skier and rewards speed and confident technique rather than doing all the work for you.
Kästle’s HOLLOWTECH 2.0 reduces weight in the shovel while helping keep the ski smooth and responsive. The Hook Free Shovel and Hook Free Tail move the effective contact points towards the centre of the ski, making the Paragon 101 more forgiving and easier to release from turns than its substantial construction might suggest.
The Armoclad Sidewall construction provides a consistent flex along the ski and protection for the edges and sidewalls. With a 101 mm waist and an 18 m radius in 182 cm, the Paragon 101 sits in a useful sweet spot for skiers who spend plenty of time off-piste but still want a ski that can carve a groomer without complaint.
This is not a lightweight touring ski, nor is it aimed at beginners looking for an especially forgiving platform. The Paragon 101 makes more sense for an experienced skier who wants stability, precision and plenty of support when skiing fast in variable snow and demanding terrain.

A serious ski for serious skiing — not a lightweight touring tool or a beginner’s easy-going cruiser.
