Black Crows Navis Freebird 2027 + Pilus Skins
The fourth-generation Black Crows Navis Freebird has been extensively modernized to deliver a more agile, stable and downhill-focused touring experience. With a 104 mm waist, new 21 m radius, longer progressive rocker and approximately 10% lower weight, the Navis Freebird combines excellent flotation with improved maneuverability and stability.
Designed for skiers who prioritize the descent, the Navis Freebird is particularly well suited to big mountain lines, open slopes and variable alpine conditions. Its firm flex and classic camber provide reliable edge grip on firm snow, while the progressive tip rocker and freeride-oriented shape help the ski stay composed in powder, broken snow and changing terrain.
The ski features a paulownia/poplar wood core, carbon and fiberglass reinforcement, plus a Titanal plate beneath the bindings for improved power transmission, screw retention and durability. The slightly straighter sidecut and 21 m radius encourage confident, long-radius turns and a stable feel at speed.
The package includes precut Pilus skins specifically designed for the Navis Freebird. Their mohair/polyamide construction provides a balanced combination of grip, glide and durability, while the lightweight waterproof membrane and hydrophobic treatment help reduce snow and moisture absorption. The redesigned tip and tail attachment system makes the skins quick and secure to install, while reducing their overall length and weight.
