Marker Griffon X 13 Green/Black - 2026/2027

The Marker Griffon X 13 takes one of freestyle skiing's most established bindings and gives it a noticeably more direct connection to the ski. With a DIN range of 4–13 and an exceptionally low profile, it's built for freestyle and freeride skiers who want quick reactions, precise control and a strong feel for what's happening under their feet. Park laps, rails, switch skiing, freeride lines – the Griffon X is right at home wherever precise ski control matters. The Green/Black colourway keeps things a little more understated, if that's your thing.

The key feature is its exceptionally low standing height: just 9 mm at the toe and 14 mm at the heel, with a 5 mm ramp angle. Keeping the boot close to the ski creates a direct connection and helps the ski respond quickly to your movements. The construction shares metal components with the bigger Jester X, delivering a solid build in a lighter package.

The new ROYAL X Brake is integrated directly into the heel base, rather than sitting as a more separate component like on previous designs. This allows for the impressively low 14 mm heel height while keeping the brake neatly incorporated into the binding. The brakes are replaceable and can be swapped for other widths from the ROYAL X Brake range. There's also an integrated snow scraper for clearing snow from your boot sole before stepping in, and the heel offers 20 mm of adjustment.

On snow, the Griffon X is all about immediate feedback and precision. The low profile makes particular sense for park skiing, jibbing and rails, where a direct connection to the ski is welcome. It also works well for freeride skiing, where quick reactions and accurate power transfer matter. Just be aware that the lower standing height provides less leverage for extreme carving angles and deep butters. The direct feel also means less filtering of what the ski is doing underneath you. This is a binding for skiers who want feedback, not for those looking to smooth out every little movement.

The Griffon X 13 is compatible with Alpine and GripWalk boot soles. If you're looking for a low-profile binding that puts precision, freestyle control and direct ski feel first, this is a very interesting piece of kit.
