Buna Café’s Original Freeskier Coffee Edition

Traditional processing, an unconventional experience – that’s what makes our exceptional Ethiopia Djimmah Jasmine coffee so special. If you haven’t had the pleasure of tasting it yet, prepare to discover something truly different from anything you’ve tried before.

Its carefully harvested coffee cherries are slowly dried under the warm Ethiopian sun. This traditional method gives the beans plenty of time to absorb the flavors of the juicy, sweet fruit pulp. The result is something truly worth looking forward to.

Freshly brewed, this coffee first captivates you with its floral aroma. Take a sip, and you’ll discover notes of stewed strawberries and wild blueberries. But the biggest surprise comes at the very end: an intriguing, unusually invigorating aftertaste reminiscent of rowanberry wine. A truly exceptional experience for discerning coffee lovers.

We’ve set the roast level to RL60 because we believe it brings out the very best in this Ethiopian treasure. The roasted coffee retains its distinctive fruity character without becoming unnecessarily bitter. Its acidity is light and pleasant.

Ethiopia Djimmah Jasmine coffee, also known simply as Jimma Coffee, originates from the Kaffa and Illubabor regions, areas with a rich coffee-growing heritage. The coffee plants grow at altitudes of around 1,500–1,800 metres above sea level, in the shade of mature trees that protect them from the harsh midday sun. The coffee cherries are harvested several times a year, allowing farmers to pick only fully ripe fruit. This ensures that only high-quality beans make it to your cup. Grown in natural conditions and processed using traditional methods, this coffee has a flavour reminiscent of the original wild coffee varieties.
