Kästle ZX Alpha – 25/26
Small skis. Big adventures.

Kästle ZX Alpha 2025/2026
The ZX Alpha is Kästle’s junior take on a proper freeride ski. It is designed for young skiers who are starting to explore powder, trees and terrain away from the groomed runs, while still needing a ski that remains easy and predictable when they return to the piste.
A selected wood core keeps the construction sturdy without making the ski unnecessarily complicated or demanding. Hollowtech 2.0 in the shovel reduces weight and helps keep the tip smooth and manageable, while the Corund-protection top foil adds some useful durability — because junior skis tend to encounter things that adult skis mysteriously avoid.
The profile combines standard camber with rocker in the tip and tail, giving the ZX Alpha a forgiving and easy-going character in soft snow. The Hook Free Shovel and Hook Free Tail help the ski release from turns easily rather than catching unexpectedly.
The elliptical radius keeps the ski easy to turn and predictable at junior-friendly speeds. The different waist widths across the length range also mean the ski grows naturally with the skier, from a relatively narrow 75 mm platform in the shortest length to 85 mm in the 139 cm version.
The ZX Alpha is primarily aimed at soft snow and freeride use, but it is versatile enough for groomers when the powder runs out. It is a particularly good choice for intermediate young skiers who are ready to move beyond purely piste-oriented junior skis and start exploring what the mountain has to offer.
