Black Crows Captis Birdie + Tyrolia Attack 3-11 Demo (Model 22/23)

Black Crows Captis Birdie + Tyrolia Attack 3-11 Demo (Model 22/23) is a versatile all-mountain ski for intermediate to advanced skiers who want to explore more than just groomed runs. Its 90 mm waist, twin-tip shape and rocker-camber-rocker profile make it agile in bumps and trees, while the poplar wood core and fiberglass laminate give it a solid, responsive feel.

The Captis Birdie is light on its feet but has plenty of energy coming out of a turn. It holds an edge confidently, transitions quickly from edge to edge and remains composed when you pick up speed on piste. Moderate taper in the shovel and the raised tail add to its freeride-inspired shape, giving it a playful feel across changing terrain. It is not just an easy-going, lightweight ski: it has enough backbone to reward a stronger skier, too.

A good choice for someone looking for one ski for varied resort conditions, from groomers and bumps to trees and occasional softer snow. The 90 mm waist offers some versatility off piste, although deep powder is not its strongest suit.

Why choose this ski – and why not?

Choose the Captis Birdie if you want a lively, versatile ski that carves confidently but is also comfortable in bumps, trees and varied resort terrain. It combines a relatively light feel with good edge hold and enough stability to handle faster skiing. It is less suited to someone who mainly skis deep powder or wants a specialist piste ski.
